Kathleen Tran
President and Founder of Zappy Co.
Kathleen has spent well over 25 years working in healthcare. She earned her Nursing Degree at Bloomberg School of Nursing, University of Toronto and her Master’s Degree in Health Sciences also at the University of Toronto. Kathleen retired from nursing in mid-2019 to focus on her start-up US company, Zappy Co., to research and develop an artificially intelligent robot for dementia care. She received her Certificate for the MIT Sloan Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy Online Program in October 2019. Kathleen is a member of the MIT Technology Review Global Panel.
Zappy Co. is a Delaware Corporation, incorporated on September 10, 2019. Her compassion and patience came from looking after her late mother who suffered a 30 years battle with Pick’s disease when Kathleen was only 9 years old.
Elad Inbar
Founder and CEO of RobotLAB Inc.
Elad Inbar is the Founder and CEO of RobotLAB Inc., a unique company dedicated to making robots smart and useful. His current ventures in robotics and education received wide publication and recognition in the Time Magazine, The New Yorker, Tech Crunch, IEEE, NBC, Financial Times, Fast Company, CNET, San Francisco and other media outlets.
He shares his experience as a keynote speaker in many events such as SxSW, TCEA, ACTE, FETC and many others. With parallel careers in academia and technology, Elad is uniquely qualified to help Zappy Co. bridge the gap between artificially intelligent robotic application in dementia care for individual clients and institutions.
